Hi, I’m Jen Peterken, MSW, LCSWA and I have a passion for helping people navigate life’s messier chapters with clarity, confidence, and
a bit of humor when needed.
I specialize in helping people make sense of their lives—especially the parts that don’t come with a neat instruction manual. I help navigate the often-overlooked challenges of a late ADHD diagnosis, healing from narcissistic abuse, and rewriting old narratives during major life transitions. I work with teens and adults—whether it's untangling from toxic dynamics, rediscovering identity post-diagnosis, or simply figuring out what comes next.
In therapy, I blend evidence-based approaches with radical empathy and a touch of humor. My goal isn’t to “fix” you—you were never broken—but to help you untangle patterns, reconnect with your voice, and build a life that actually fits you. Expect a mix of
validation, practical tools, and the occasional nerdy metaphor (think: executive function as
a glitchy browser with too many tabs open).
Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find me deep in a podcast rabbit hole, going for a run to clear my head or obsessively combing the beach for sea glass. I love volunteering and am active in the Wilmington community.
