Starting therapy with the right professional is an important decision to make. Thanks for taking the time to see if I am a good fit for you!

I work with children, teens, and adults (ages 5 to 65) on anything and everything related to growth, change, and decreasing mental health symptoms. Most of my clients are typically looking to cope with anxiety, depression, self harm, anger, relationships, and/or self esteem. My ideal client is anyone with the desire to make those changes – just scheduling your first session is a huge step to be proud of! I have a wide range of experience from intensive therapy, crisis services, school-based therapy, and group practice. I utilize aspects of CBT, Solution Oriented Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, art-related therapy, and activity-based work depending on the needs and interests of each individual client. I enjoy seeing clients’ progress and helping to make a positive difference in their day to day lives. I hope that my validating, gentle, and enthusiastic approach will be the right fit for you!

Biography

Bri has known since a young age that she wanted to be a therapist—becoming a peer mediator in middle school and taking psychology classes at UNCW while still in high school! Bri received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Bri interned for 2 years at the Rape Crisis Center, helping with individual and group therapy for adult survivors. After graduation, she started working with children in an intensive therapy setting with frequent crisis intervention, before moving to school-based therapy. Bri enjoys the wide range of ages that she has gotten to see since starting group practice in 2023. She might be working with a child on managing anxiety and other big feelings during one session, and helping an adult learn to communicate better with loved ones during another! Bri likes to spend her free time with the wind in her hair and her son on her lap, cruising down the Cape Fear River in Castle Hayne. Growing up in Carolina Beach and moving to Castle Hayne after marriage, Bri has always enjoyed the sunshine and great outdoors. Other loves of hers include her 2 Catahoula Leopard Dogs, event planning, and listening to fun podcasts every time she gets in her car!
