Thank you for having the courage in taking a big step towards finding support!

Life can be very challenging at times. As humans, we experience terrible loss, persistent anxiety, low motivation, feeling isolated and disconnected, difficulty adjusting to everyday stressors and navigating relationships.  Even though these feelings and experiences are very common, they are also very disruptive and can leave us feeling stuck.  Together, we can work through these challenges to help make life more rewarding and enjoyable.

I have been fortunate to counsel individuals in a variety of different treatment settings, which has given me the opportunity to discover what inspires me as a therapist. I am inspired by the resilience of the people I work with who show up to do hard work and come to believe in themselves again.  I enjoy incorporating music, art, and other creative techniques into sessions when appropriate because creativity is my inspiration and others often share this. I connect with adults who have substance use issues, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, difficulty setting boundaries, stress management, and men’s issues. I also work with individuals who are sober curious (individuals who are exploring their substance use and are thinking about making some changes). I recognize the unique needs of adults who are balancing home and work life, struggling with expectations in each role, navigating relationships, and managing the stress related to work and parenting.  I can help you find the balance you need in these roles. As a parent of a child with medical complexities and disabilities, I am passionate about working with all parents as they navigate parenthood, relationships and finding their new identity as a parent.

I take a strength-based approach to counseling that focuses on your positive attributes and abilities.  I use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and creative musical interventions to help you work towards your identified treatment goals.  We all get stuck sometimes and therapy can help remove some of the barriers to living our fullest, most meaningful life.
