Hi, I’m Andrew Baez, LCSW
Think of me as your therapeutic partner—here to help you navigate love, life, and all the mess in between. Whether you're working through a breakup, tackling substance use, or just trying to get your life together, I'm here to cheer you on, minus the pom-poms. Let’s work together to hit your goals, no judgment, just real talk.
I believe that everyone has the answers to their own problems, but sometimes, we just need another person—ideally someone trained—to help pull those answers out. I see my clients as capable individuals with unique strengths that can guide them through tough times. I know people thrive when they feel connected, and that connection can often start with a professional like me. Together, we’ll uncover what you already have and use some reframing to help you get where you want to be.
I'm a dad, husband, and proud dog dad to Leia (yes, I'm a Star Wars fan). When I’m not diving into life’s chaos with clients, you’ll find me laughing and maybe crying at 'Ted Lasso’ or Avatar the Last Airbender. If you ever pull up next to me while I’m driving you’ll probably catch me unashamedly jamming to ‘90s R&B and 2000’s alternative rock. I’m all about good friends, fun times and living life with a little humor and a lot of heart.
Andrew Baez, LCSW, was born and raised in the Bronx before trading in city life for the sunny shores of Wilmington, NC, to chase his master’s in Social Work at UNCW. With a long-standing passion for mental health, becoming a therapist feels like destiny finally knocking at his door. He has had the privilege of working at Coastal Horizons, where he helped underserved populations find their way. Andrew also holds a bachelor’s in Psychology from Lehman College in the Bronx, which laid the groundwork for his passion. He loves diving into the nitty-gritty with couples, individuals battling addiction, those navigating their romantic lives, and anyone exploring their faith. Andrew believes in tackling these challenges together—because even though you can do it alone, why make life more difficult than it already is?
