Hi, I’m Tammy Bentley, PhD, LCMHC.
I’m a therapist who helps teens and adults navigate the tightrope of perfectionism, anxiety, and major life transitions—whether you're heading to college, changing careers, entering parenthood, or just trying to figure out how to be a person without constantly second-guessing your every move. In therapy, I combine humor and compassion, with counseling approaches to help you manage anxiety, challenge unrealistic expectations, and get out of your own way.
Therapy should be a space where you can be real, feel seen, and—yes—even laugh. Laughter truly is good for the soul! I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to therapy, integrating CBT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness to support clients with managing anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and life transitions. Therapy with me is judgment-free, and always centered around you—not the version of you that’s trying to be perfect, but the one that's real and 100% worth showing up for. My office is a space where it’s okay to feel overwhelmed, question everything, and still laugh in the middle of it all. Therapy isn’t about becoming a flawless version of yourself—it’s about getting comfortable and being human.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. Well, let’s be honest - I am mostly chauffeuring them around to their activities. When I have free time, I enjoy walking, hiking, spending time at the beach, shopping and catching up with friends. Being a counselor is not just a profession—it’s a calling that continually teaches me compassion, patience, and the power of human connection.
