An experiential Mindfulness Workshop open to anyone who wants to learn more about Mindfulness while stepping out of the doing mode of everyday life to pause for self-care.
Together, we will explore what mindfulness is—and what it is not—while demystifying the concepts of Meditation and discovering how it supports Mindfulness as a way of life.
We will engage in both formal and informal Mindfulness practices, to include the Breathing Space, Body Scan, Sitting Meditation, and Loving-Kindness Meditation. Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on integrating mindfulness into everyday life through practical, accessible practices that can be used anywhere, anytime.
You will be provided with an opportunity to learn ways to apply mindfulness practices as an approach to managing the ups and downs of our humanness including everyday stress, the ruminating mind, chronic pain, illness, and perceptions and habitual reaction patterns that often negatively shape our experiences.
All are welcome, whether new to mindfulness or looking to deepen an existing practice. Wear comfortable clothing. We will be a scent free event.
