Hi, I’m Sarah
I’m a therapist who helps teens and adults work through grief and anxiety and pursue a life of confidence. I believe that genuine conversation fosters connection and healing, allowing individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings in a warm, supportive environment.
As a therapist, my core philosophy centers on creating a space where clients truly feel heard and understood. My approach emphasizes empathy and openness, encouraging clients to express themselves freely while guiding them on their journey toward self-discovery and growth. I strive to build a trusting relationship that empowers clients to navigate their unique paths.
When I take off my therapist hat, you’ll find me surfing, roller blading, watching US Women’s Soccer and goofing off with my husband, daughter and our dog, Cooper. I’ve always had an affinity for adventure and love going camping, hiking and exploring new places. If I had to pick a favorite dessert, it’s definitely a classic chocolate chip cookie.
Once upon a time, I was a kayak tour guide, au pair, and worked on organic farms.. I then worked in marketing for several years before deciding to pursue my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I’ve always been interested in the complexity of human experiences, exploring the existential questions of life, and I love connecting with others on a deeper level. Becoming a therapist just made sense.
Sarah holds a master’s degree in Social Work and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing. With extensive experience working with adolescents, parents, couples, and families, Sarah has honed her skills in a variety of settings, including outpatient, in-home, and wilderness-based residential programs.
Specializing in trauma-informed care, Sarah is trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR.. She employs a diverse range of evidence-based therapies, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Transgenerational Therapy, Solution-Oriented Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and the Gottman Method.
