
Alice is a Masters of Social Work intern providing individual therapy sessions to children, young adults, and geriatric adults facing anxiety, depression, loss, loneliness, and life transitions. Alice provides a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to talk openly about the challenges they face, working with them to identify their strengths, build connections in their community, and recognize how their past has shaped their current experiences. Using a collaborative approach, Alice works with her clients to understand what they want to improve on in their lives and how, supporting them in developing these skills and offering a new perspective. Alice’s interests include mental health in older and aging populations, grief processing and bereavement, somatic experiencing, and interpersonal relationships
Biography
Alice moved to Wilmington after gaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Global Studies from UNC Chapel Hill. In her undergraduate program Alice worked as a research assistant for the UNC Couples Lab and interned at Stand for Children’s Services in New Zealand where she worked with children in a residential therapeutic setting. She hopes to continue to practice therapy after graduation and gain her clinical license in social work. In her spare time Alice enjoys biking around the beach and going to outdoor markets around Wlimington with her dog Rosie.
