Life is overwhelming. We all have a spectrum of emotions as we experience various pressures: keeping up with social media trends, arguments with significant others, and losing someone we love. It sometimes feels like no one understands what we are going through – not even our family and friends. We start to wonder if we will ever reach our goals, have healthy relationships, or live the life we have envisioned for ourselves. This is where I come in. I can help you filter the old stories and negative thoughts that linger from the past to help you recognize the life you want to live. I am here to offer insight and guidance during these challenging times.

I am especially passionate about helping people who find themselves experiencing intense emotion they often can’t control or who feel like others do not understand the intention of their actions. I help people find ways to manage emotion by using coping skills and learning to respond rather than react.

I also work with the LGBTQIA population to assist with navigating self esteem, identity, and the transition process. Processing and navigating identity can often be overwhelming and present challenges that we haven’t previously faced; but once discovered often leads to a more confident sense of self and an increased self esteem.

I use strengths-based therapy, and I believe you have innate gifts and talents that will help you achieve the goals you want in life. I use an interactive cognitive behavioral approach to therapy bringing awareness to how thoughts and feelings influence our actions. Finally, I am led by a trauma informed perspective and utilize mindfulness and other tenants of dialectical behavioral therapy to help my client find the peace of mind and stillness in the body they are seeking.

I hope this gives you a little more understanding of who I am and how I would like to help you feel better and meet your goals. So, come on and let’s work together to create a plan that gets you back to living your best life!
