Hi!
Thank you for taking time to learn a little more about me. I hope after visiting my website you feel as if you have more information to empower you to make the best choice for you towards personal health and wellness.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who takes a person centered approach to therapy. This means I believe every person already has what they need to reach their full potential and live their best life. Life circumstances and experiences often cloud our vision on what our full potential may be ~ we may feel confused, lost, or broken in making the best decisions for ourselves and knowing the next steps. I meet you where you are and work towards a common goal in easy to manage small steps. We work together to lift the clouds that are blocking your vision of the life you deserve.

I help children, adolescents, and adults who are having difficulty with adjustments and traumatic experiences by providing mindfulness based and trauma informed therapy with presence, acceptance, and compassion. What does this mean?! It means that I believe people are resilient. I believe we can transform and grow out of challenging and hard situations, and I believe this transformation occurs when we can begin to live our lives in the present moment. Transformation has occurred when our past memories do not change our our present self and way of being. Transformation has occurred when we can vision our future in a way that motivates our present day self to take the next right action. Transformation has occurred when we drop the pattern of being stuck in the past OR being overwhelmed by the tasks of the future. I help people use past and future thinking only as a tool to inform the choices of today in order to help build healthy relationships, improve family dynamics, enhance school performance, increase job performance, and grow joy in everyday life.

I also help parents and families who struggle to understand and connect with their children by providing parent coaching that is positive, goal-oriented, and applicable with your children. As the saying goes, “it takes a village”, and it is important to know that you are not alone in your parenting journey. I love to walk along side parents to come up with new strategies, ease distress, validate worries, and gain the gift of presence with your children that makes the work all worth it!

Additionally, I have been an experienced registered yoga teacher for over 10 years leading private and group yoga classes, meditation, mindfulness practices, retreats, and teacher trainings. Yoga and meditation can be used as a stand alone practice for healing or can be incorporated into ongoing therapy services. I will work with you to decide what combination of services will be the best fit for you.

I look forward to working with you to meet your health and wellness needs.

Best wishes,
Jessica
