Hi, I’m McKenzi Hopkins, MSW, LCSWA. I’m a clinical associate social worker who helps adolescents/teens with emotional regulation and coping skills needed to navigate successfully through life. During our sessions, you can expect a non-judgmental, bubbly appearance from myself, as I like to provide a safe yet goofy space for you to express yourself freely.
Therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation to have everything figured out. A warm, client-centered approach allows each person to move at their own pace while feeling heard, understood, and supported. Sessions are collaborative and may include conversation, imagination, creativity, or simply having a safe space to slow down and process what is going on. I love this work because of the relationships built along the way and the opportunity to support clients as they discover their strengths, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges. My hope is to be that space for you.
I am a silly soul who loves to make others laugh or brighten someone’s day with a friendly smile. Outside of my profession as a clinician, I am a doodle mom. My golden-doodle brings me great stress along with happiness; she keeps me active that’s for sure.
Like any “mom”, I became a therapist because I wanted all kids to have a fun safe space to be silly and themselves regardless of their situation. I believe therapy provides a sense of support and understanding where you can feel heard, accepted, and free to express oneself without judgment.
