Private Yoga

Often times the needs we have in yoga go beyond the group experience. A private yoga class may be necessary to help meet your overall needs. In a private class, you can expect to review your experience with yoga and your goals with your instructor, as well as formulate a plan that you both feel committed to that will get the results you want.

Reasons for private yoga:​

  • Special physical needs may need a tailored class with variations and extra 1-on-1 attention
  • Working on an in depth practice that needs extra support and attention
  • Incorporate specific topics for mental and emotional health

Yoga Therapy

At Stillpoint Counseling and Wellness, we also have certified yoga therapist that provide specialized classes and sessions.

Yoga Therapy is an integrative healing practice that offers an opportunity to befriend your body, hold difficult experiences with compassion, relieve stress, and cultivate joy. With its foundations in yogic philosophy, meditation, psychology, current neuroscience research and contemporary body-mind approaches, Yoga Therapy helps you understand unique aspects of your nervous system and use this knowledge to develop tools to regulate emotions and cultivate greater balance in your life. 

Have you ever felt multiple feelings at one time and wondered which one is really true? Or felt stressed because you’re lost in a sea of choices? 

Yoga therapy gets to the root of your discomfort, unhappiness, disconnection, and/or “stuckness”. Through posture work, mindfulness technique and supportive dialogue, you are empowered to experience yourself more fully in body, heart, and mind. Using focused awareness, movement, practicing presence, and working with breath, we explore what’s happening in your experience – what’s happening in your life? This state of embodied presence allows you to sit with what you experienced, and then integrate what you noticed, why it’s important, and how you can make space for it in your life.

Yoga Therapy is not about fixing or curing, it’s a process of self-discovery and self-realization. Show up as you are – All bodies and abilities welcome. 

Your body is talking, are you listening?

Yoga Therapy is an accredited, integrative field. Certified Yoga Therapists receive 1,000+ hours of specialized training, and are recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

Private Yoga Session can be scheduled individually or with a small group for $90 / hour or $110/75 min session.  A complimentary 20 minute initial intake session is part of the first visit.
