Kendall Tidey, LCSWA (she/her)

Thank you for visiting my page to learn a little more about me and my practice.

My experience and strengths are serving individuals with mood disorders including bipolar and depressive disorders as well as trauma, and chronic pain. I am also a passionate ally and advocate of the transgender community. I work with individuals who struggle with gender dysphoria and those who identify under the transgender umbrella seeking support processing and navigating reactions from friends, family and the broader society. Whatever the motivation for seeking counseling, being able to tell your story on your terms, without judgement can be an essential step toward finding inner peace and living authentically.

In our relationships and even with ourselves, we fear our imperfections will be ‘found out’ so we put up a wall. Our goal in therapy is to shed that armor. My therapeutic style is person-centered therefore our sessions will be led by your goals and values. We will often integrate behavior therapies like CBT and DBT if we discover patterns keeping you stuck.

‘To be at home with myself anywhere I go’ is a mantra I come back to often and one that strikes a universal chord. With life’s ebbs and flows, there are times when that feeling of inward peace seems far away. My intention as a therapist is to give you the space, support, and skills to help you find your way back home to yourself.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
